My sweet girls enjoying Florida

My sweet little princess!Amy showing how much she loves her cousin Matthew

Amy sitting up all by herself. She can now push herself into a sitting position and hold it.

Amy attempting to take off!
Kyli enjoying the hot weather in Florida.

Amy loves to hold her bottle. She thinks she needs to roll over while drinking her bottle. She just wants to play while she's enjoying her wonderful meal.

Our cute little happy princess! She loves her cousins and her Aunt Nelly and Uncle Bret as well as Grandma and Grandpa. She's having a lot of fun.

Amy has learned to blow raspberries. SO CUTE!

SO BEAUTIFUL!

Pictures I took on Skype while talking to my sweet little princesses. They are so darn cute! I love to see them. We get to talk on Skype most days. It's hard to see them so far away, but it's so good to see how happy they are and how much they are loving to be w/their cousins, Aunt Janelle, Uncle Bret, and Grandma and Grandpa. It's fun to see the milestones Amy is reaching too. She now has 2 teeth. She left w/one an now has her 2 bottom front teeth. She has such a sweet little temperament. She loves to be happy.
Kyli is having so much fun w/her cousins. They love to share clothes too. Kyli and Lindsey LOVE pink. Janelle says Kyli won't eat from anything but pink things. She is totally obsessed w/pink. It's pretty cute, and a little ironic just because I wouldn't be caught dead in anything pink when I was a kid--yes, even when I was as young as 2 1/2.
I miss my girls so much, but I'm so grateful for the wonderful people who have helped out so much. It's truly helpful for them to be that far away. I'm just a big dork who would try to pick them up way too soon and poss. do more damage. I don't know why I can't seem to get it through my head. You would think being a nurse I might take counsel I would give. I just seem tostruggel w/ that. I'm working on being better at that. That's part of why my sweet little girls are in Florida. That's the first step for me I guess. I'll get there. I'm doing better already. I think sometimes it's just hard to accept help. My sweet sister took such good care of me and helped me see that I need to be better about how I care for myself.
I'm loving the wonderful time I've been able to have w/ my sweet husband. He has been so wonderful and caring. He has taken such good care of me. He cleans the house, brings me dinner, and he takes care of everything. It's been so nice. All in all we are doing well.

A Few Thoughts

Well, as I'm laying in my hospital bed clearly needing to go to sleep I can't help but think, think, think. I have so much to be grateful for. I have the best family and friends I could ever ask for. They have been so wonderful, giving, loving, patient, thoughful, merciful, selfless, etc. You name a good quality, they've got it!

I have been going through a lot lately and I've needed a lot of love and support. I've learned a lot about my Savior, my Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost. I've been trying to attend the temple weekly and really figure myself out. I've become really close to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for His love, mercy, neverending selflessness, the list could go on, and on, and on. I'm grateful for His atonement. I'm so grateful for the power of prayer, for temples, the gospel, His church. I'm grateful for my life. I know my Heavenly Father is ever mindful of me and He knows me. He loves me so much. He is so good to me and my family. He has watched over and protected me and my family. I've had some difficult decisions to make and He has led me and Matthew through his spirit. I know he is always there for me. I know there are many things I have yet to learn, but I know my Heavenly Father will always be there. It may not feel that way at times, but that's why it's so important to stay close to the spirit and to live in a way that is pleasing unto my Heavenly Father.

I have such a wonderful husband and wonderful children. My sweet little girls are leaving for Florida on Friday. Oh, how I'm going to miss them. I just want to cry thinking about it. I love them soooo much! They are so sweet, so innocent. They are so amazing! My sweet Amy has cut her first tooth last week. Crazy! She has been rolling herself all over the place, scoots backward and a little forward, she gets up on her knees sometimes too. She is growing so much. She also turns herself 360 degrees to be able to see what's going on where she wants to see. She is so sweet and loving.

Then there's sweet little Kyli. We definitely have our trying times, but she is soo sweet, beautiful, loving, just absolutely wonderful. She says the funniest things. We are so in love with her. We just see her growing and learning more every day. She is soo beautiful! She makes us feel like a million bucks--of course, so does Amy. She is so much fun! She loves her baby sister so much. She just wants to help all the time. Sometimes a little too much though. It doesn't matter if it's cleaning the house, helping w/ Amy, or helping mommy. She's all over the project. She's so sweet. One day I started to cry and she came over and said, "Mommy sad?" I told her, "Yes, mommy is sad." She then gave me the sweetest, most loving hug and kept hugging me. She told me it was going to be okay. I love those girls so much! I'm so sad they're going to be leaving for a short while and I'm really struggling with it, but I know it's what is right. I know they will be better and I know I will be better. I know that I can't seem to control my want and need to hold them and this way I will make sure I do what is needed to fully recover. I'm so grateful again for wonderful family members stepping up to the plate. I didn't even ask for help. I even said no at first because it's too much to ask anyone. They were so sweet. I just mentioned I was thinking about getting this surgery that I've been told for a few months now I needed and they said, "Whatever you decide, we're here for you. Just let us know. We want to help, don't worry about anything, we'll take care of everything. If it's the kids you're worried about, don't worry. We love you, we know you'll make the right decision for you and your family." They were so supportive. Even my sweet sister-in-law volunteered to take my girls all the way to Florida. She has 7 kids of her own! She is truly amazing! Between her and my mom, I know they will get the love and care they need. I know I will be taken care of and I will get better in a timely manner so I can help tend to the needs of my family.

I'm so grateful for my wonderful husband. We've made a lot of tough decisions together and he is so sweet and supportive. We have been able to grow so close and really center our home in Christ. I'm so grateful for him and for his loving kindness towards me and my sweet little girls. We've been through some trying times and in the end, we truly love and support each other.

We just want to say thank you to everyone who's been so good to us and have offered their love and support. We love you all soo much!

A Play Day

We got to play outside today. Kyli loved her bike the Anderson's gave her last year!Amy soaking up the sweet outdoor time!

How about that adorable smile!
Kyli loves to blow the seeds off the dandylions

A Little of Everything

Okay so, I've had a few people get on me because I need to update my blog. Sorry it's been a while, but as you know, I'm not an avid blogger and I'm not faithful in keeping it up to date. I'll try to do better. I do have an excuse though. My sister had my camera for at least a week--probably more so I couldn't download and post my pics.
Sweet Amy in the outfit Aunt Melissa and Uncle Michael gave her!

Chloe, Luke, and Kyli share the stroller as we took a walk around the block. Yes, Amy came too. She was in the snugli hugging me. Yes, I got a taste of 4 kids at a time.

Fun at the zoo with the family!

We've been busy. Kyli, Amy and I went to Idaho to visit my sister and her family. We had tons of fun as usual. My poor sister was so exhausted by the time we left though. Even through her exhaustion, she drove home with me and flew back that night because she didn't feel like I should/could make it home on my own due to some back problems. She is seriously the sweetest, most awesome person. She runs around trying to make sure she takes care of everyone else, but sometimes I think she forgets to take care of herself. She is such a wonderful sister and friend. I'm so grateful to have her in my life. Here are some sweet pics of our trip.

WE LOVE OUR AUNT MEL! SHE'S THE BEST!
Our family is so blessed! We have so much to be thankful for. We have wonderful family and friends who stand by us and support us in all that we do. We have a wonderful home to live in, great jobs with the best co-workers anyone could ask for. We have so much. I could go on and on and on. We love our precious little girls and are so grateful for the wonderful spirit they bring into our home. They are truly amazing.

So much fun!

Daddy's little princess!

Minnie Mouse?
So, daddy loves Amy to sleep on his tummy. She loves to sleep on her tummy too-especially if it's on mom or dad's tummy. It feels so nice to snuggle with her. We love our snuggle time!
We were just playing with the bow and because she has hair, I decided to put the bow in it. We don't need a headband! I know it's a goofy picture, but I had to share! Yes, I've posted a few posts today, but I forgot some pics. I know I'm a dork, but it's better than doing what I really should be doing today. Heaven forbid I get something productive done. Besides, my two girls wouldn't want me to do that. Therefore, during my spare time I choose to be fairly unproductive. Well, I am productive sometimes, just not as much today. Fun times!!! And, I need to show off my sweet little ones!!!!

Little Helper

Our sweet little Kyli loves to help out! She wanted to hold Amy and was helping get her to sleep. Of course, I had to get a picture of it. She is still wanting to hold her and help all the time.

Amy's blessing!

Our sweet Amy on her blessing day!

The best family pic we could get with the camera on a timer.

Kyli holding Amy. What a sad face!

Mommy's little helper!

Isn't she a sweetie! We just love her!

So, we had Amy's blessing on March 29, 2009. Everything went really well except they almost forgot to have the blessing. The bishopric member(we won't mention any names) who was conducting moved right on to the sacrament and we had not blessed our precious little Amy yet. Here she is dressed in her beautiful white blessing dress, our families taking up half of the chapel, 2 hams at home in the oven with plenty of other food prepared, and potentially no blessing. My heart dropped when he moved on. I looked over at Matthew with a worried look on my face. He too wondering what just happened. I then looked up at the bishopric member and turn my sweet dressed up little girl so he can see her beautiful dress and he looks back at me with a sheepish smile as he's talking to the bishop about his mistake. We made it through the sacrament and then he stands and admits embarrassed his mistake. I was just nervous they forgot completely and didn't have the mic out. Thank goodness they did. Matthew gave her a beautiful blessing. We are so grateful for the many blessings we have, for our two beautiful girls and their wonderful spirits. They are so sweet and precious.

Kyli chose her clothes today! Isn't she beautiful!

Sweet Amy sleeping this morning

She's a sweetie

Kyli decided she should pick her outfit today. She looks fantastic doesn't she. It's only a precursor of what's to come. I guess that might help ward of the boys in the future--her lack of style--or maybe she'll be a trend setter. These days I guess you never know.

Amy is so cute. I had to take this pic of her sleeping b/c it was like "Don't bother me! Turn out the lights! I'm comfortable." And the last one--well, she's just cute so I can't resist!

So, Amy's room is mostly done. The slideshow shows what I could of it. The 2 picture frames on the sides of the "I Am a Child of God" saying will have black and white pics of Amy in them--that is if I can find somewhere that will print square pics for me. It's a fairly small room, but it works. I like the way it worked out, I just wish I could do the finishing touches now.

So we had to get some pics for Amy's birth announcements done. Kyli was adorable as was Amy. We had a lot of fun and Mommy got a little frustrated at times. I think we did alright. Kyli had moments she didn't want to do it and other times she kept saying, "I want cheese!" meaning she wanted her picture taken. She liked posing, if she could do what she wanted. What can I say, she's a natural-- and a little bit of a ham-but that's a good thing.

This one is my favorite of Kyli.

My favorite of Amy

My favorite of Amy and Kyli

We have two beautiful litte girls! We're so grateful for our sweet little addition to our family. Kyli loves her so much--we're so grateful for that. We have a lot of fun and know that we are so blessed. These little girls make up so much of our lives. Sometimes I think we take what we have for granted. They are great little teachers.

That's our beautiful girl!

Isn't she a sweetie!
We love our sweet little girls so much. We just can't get enough of them. Today Kyli decided she needed to nurse her baby doll. She lifted up her shirt and everything! She cracks us up all the time. She is hillarious with the things she comes up with. She is growing up so fast. We can't seem to keep up with her. She adores her baby sister as I've already said a few times. She is constantly trying to take care of her. Her new thing is to burp her. We just love them so much!

It's all about Amy...and Kyli!

Kyli loves her new baby sister!

Mike and Mel came down to help with Amy. Kyli bonded with Mike playing soccer, X-box, and just being silly!

Amy's 1st bath at home

Kyli is SO HELPFUL!

She's just SO cute!

Again, SO cute!

Mike and Mel were so awesome to come down and help. They were the greatest and helped so much! I couldn't have done it without them. Poor Mel had to sleep on a blow-up mattress that deflated completely before she even went to sleep. She shared that lovely mattress with Kyli who didn't let her get much sleep at all. She had her running to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she was coughing, talking in her sleep, and wanting to hold Amy. I probably got more sleep than poor Mel. I appreciate her help so much.

Introducing.... AMY THOMAS!

This is our sweet little Amy. She came into the world on Friday March 6, 2009. She weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She's a chubby one! She's been such a blessing.

Dr. Gemmell, MarJean, Auri, and all who were involved were wonderful through everything. They made it such a smooth process and truly a great experience. I couldn't have asked for a better team.

Matthew is so cute with her. He likes to have his special time with Amy. What a cute dad!

Kyli loves her baby sister so much! She is constantly saying, "I hold her!" She wants to help out as much as she can and loves caring for Amy.

Everyone has been so sweet and helpful. I'm grateful for wonderful family and friends who are so supportive and have offered and provided much help to us.
